SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 19 – Taylor Gilbert at 22
went to work for Indeed, Inc.
and was assaulted, she says,
by an Indeed manager based in
Austin, Texas while he called
her a "nice Jewish girl" and
lamented that there are "no
Jewish girls in Austin."
She sued.
On October
19 U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Lewis J. Liman held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
While arguments include to
what Texas law applies, Indeed
is arguing that Gilbert
breached her contract by
suing.
The case is
Gilbert v. Indeed, Inc. et
al., 20-cv-3826 (Liman)
