SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 3 – Shaquille Carter
pleaded guilty to drug charges
in 2015. Now he's been
convicted again in Vermont but
has appealed.
On June 3,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Denise L. Cote held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Carter, speaking
for himself, asked if Cote
could finagle things by
accepting the Vermont
transcript as the guilty plea.
Judge Cote asked
his lawyer and the government
to confer about
it. Carter asked
that it be moved up, to not
stay waiting in lock-up in New
York.
Judge Cote said
if the parties agreed to move
faster, she could set the
matter for late June. If not,
September.
The case is US v.
Carter, 15-cr-380 (Cote)
