SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 18 – Arturo Yeremis wants
his car mechanic tools back.
But his former employer,
through counsel, say they own
the tool box.
On
November 18, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Yeremis' lawyer
Leonard Zack, who indicated he
had taken the case pro bono,
repeatedly asked why his
client can't just go and see
if his tools are still there,
and get back to work.
Defense
Counsel, including Morgan
Lewis, listened but did not
budget. In fact, it was said
that since the tool box is not
Yeremis' perhaps the tools
aren't either.
Judge
Woods said the parties could
talk about this. But the
defendants did not want to,
not then and not after.
The case is
Yeremis v. Amerit Fleet
Solutions et al., 20-cv-4723
(Woods)
