SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Dec 9 – Ricardo Castro and
Jeff Jackson sued AABC
Plumbing Inc. for
characterizing them as
independent contractors and
not
employees.
On December 9, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Vernon S. Broderick held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge
Broderick told the parties
they have a trial date set for
February 22, 2022 - but only
as the third option for that
day.
There are two
criminal cases in front of
them. Judge Broderick
explained that the prosecutors
often make a plea offer with a
time limit to accept it.
He said more may
be known a month before trial,
and set another date for
December 17 and 2:30 pm.
The case
is Castro et al v. AABC
Plumbing, Inc. et al.,
17-cv-1205 (Broderick)
