SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 22 – The New York State
Liquor Authority has been sued
for its shutdown and ticketing
orders by the New York
Independent Venue Association,
citing such members as the
Sultan Room on Starr Street in
Bushwick and Birdland.
On
November 20, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge Woods was told that he
has no authority to address
the NYS Article 78 portion of
the complaint.
But he was also
told of a more venue-friendly
decision in the U.S. District
Court for the Western District
of New York, by a judge named
Sinatra, 20-cv-1176.
Judge
Woods told the parties to
write him a joint letter about
the case.
This one is New
York Independent Venue
Association et al v. Bradley,
20-cv-6870 (Woods)
