SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 17 – The non-profit
Getting Out and Staying Out is
being sued for discrimination
by its Asian American former
CFO.
On January 15,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Ronnie Abrams held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered
it.
The plaintiff,
Debbie Li, says that GOSO's
founder Mark L. Goldsmith
"began to verbally harass and
emotionally abuse [her] due to
her gender and race." The
complaint has the N-word in
it.
Judge
Abrams cited mediation.
Depositions are due May 1.
The case is Li v.
Getting Out and Staying Out,
Inc. et al., 20-cv-7152
