SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 8 – Liberty Mutual Fire
Insurance Company sued
JDS Construction Group about a
Commercial General Liability
insurance policy regarding the
project at 105-111 West 57th
Street, claiming diversity for
Federal court
jurisdiction.
On June 8, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Jesse M. Furman
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Diversity is now in doubt.
A member of
defendant 111 West 57th
Property Owner LLC is thought
to be a citizen of
Massachusetts, where Liberty
Mutual has its principal place
of business.
Judge
Furman asked for a joint
status letter on the topic by
June 25, and proposal for next
steps.
The case is
Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance
Company v. JDS Construction
Group LLC et al., 21-cv-1931
(Furman)
