Defendant Wilson Gets 37 Years

SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 10 – Yefrel Brito was
charged with conspiracy to
commit murgder in aid of
racketeering.
On June 8, 2021U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Jesse M. Furman held a change
of plea proceeding. Inner City
Press covered
it.
Brito said that,
as part of a gang, he traveled
to Soundview and was present
when a rival gang member was
shot and killed.
The AUSA said the
victim's name: Nelson Ramos,
on January 6, 2019.
During the
change of plea proceeding,
Brito was asked, Do you want
the vaccine?
Judge Furman
urged him to get it, noting
that it had seemed that he
said yes. (At the time, Judge
Furman said, Get it, just not
right now).
Jump cut to
November 10, 2022, when in the
same case, "ROBERT WILSON,
a/k/a “RO,” a/k/a “Sin,” a
member of a racketeering
enterprise known as the
Stevenson Commons Crew, was
sentenced today by U.S.
District Judge Jesse M. Furman
to 37 years in prison.
WILSON previously pled guilty
to participating in a
racketeering conspiracy,
narcotics conspiracy, and a
firearms offense.
Co-defendant KEVIN CROSBY,
a/ka/ “Sama,” was previously
sentenced to 25 years in
prison, and co-defendant
MARQUIS YOHANIS, a/k/a “DG,”
was previously sentenced to
over 24 years in prison.
Co-defendant YEFREL BRITO,
a/k/a “Mini,” is scheduled to
be sentenced on December 7,
2022."
