SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Dec 10 – Omar Adams was
arrested on July 8, 2020 at a
hospital in The Bronx with a
gun in his pocket. He had
previously been convicted of a
felony, in Green County
Court.
On
December 10, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Katherine Polk Failla held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge
Failla asked Adams if he would
waive a public reading of the
complaint or wanted it read
out loud.
Go ahead
and read it, Adams said.
Judge
Failla remarked this was only
the second time a defendant
had asked her to do this, but
so be it.
The
complaint says in Paragraph
5(a) that "Male-1 indicated he
was looking for his father and
ran away."
He was spotted on
White Plains Road and 229th
Street and toss the gun. The
magazine was found.
The case is US v.
Adams, 20-cr-655 (Failla)
