SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 22 – Juan Galvan
was on supervised release when
he was charged with selling
drugs, including in the
Westchester County
Jail.
On November 22, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Paul G. Gardephe held a
sentencing proceeding. Inner
City Press covered
it.
Galvan had
first come up for sentencing
in April but Judge Gardephe
said he would "need a much
different record" to consider
a time served sentence.
It seems
to have worked. Galvan became
a home health aide to parents,
in Mount Vernon, and is
volunteering for the Salvation
Army in White
Plains.
Judge
Gardephe on November 22 went
with time served, but also two
more years of Supervised
Release.
The case is US v.
Galvan, 11-cr-241
(Gardephe)
