SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 30 – Yesenia Nunez worked
as a waitress at the Murray
Hill Diner at 222 Lexington
Avenue in Manhattan but was
not, she says, paid minimum
wage or overtime. She
sued.
On November 30,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The defense
lawyer complained that no
notice of appearance had been
filed in a prior
administrative proceeding.
Judge Woods said
he would not inject himself
into that, and to confer. Any
summary judgment motion is due
April 22, and a conference set
for April 6.
The case is Nunez
et al v. CVK Restaurant Corp.
et al., 20-cv-4986 (Woods)
