SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 24 – Jose Gonzalez, who
worked at a hotel on
Manhattan's Upper East Side,
has been arrested for
allegedly having fraudulently
processed refunds from the
hotel to his own credit
card.
On August 24 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
John P. Cronan held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Gonzalez was
arrested in Florida, then
presented earlier on August 24
in SDNY Magistrates Court,
overseen this week by
Magistrate Judge Kevin N. Fox.
Now he would be
arraigned before District
Judge Cronan.
The AUSA
said he lives with his father
in law in Florida, who has a
gun in the house that must be
removed.
Judge Cronan told
Gonzalez that if he were to
change counsel - he was not
suggesting he should - he
should do it early. The next
proceeding is set for October
25.
The case is US v.
Gonzalez, 21-cr-522 (Cronan)
