SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 17 – World Class
Demolition Corp. of Manhattan
had an insurance policy with
Ohio's American Empire Surplus
Lines, to be paid by a
percentage of its gross
receipts. But the insurer
claims it was underpaid by
$453,273.
On June 17,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Chief Magistrate Judge Gabriel
W. Gorenstein held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge Gorenstein heard that a
counter-clain is unlikely.
He signed off on
a discovery and scheduling
plan involving any amended
pleadings being due August 17,
with discovery to end January
11, before a three day trial
(if it comes to that).
The case is
American Empire Surplus Lines
Insurance Company v. World
Class Demolition Corp.,
20-cv-2709 (Swain /
Gorenstein).
