SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 26 – Joseph Michael
Vitale sued BeenVerified, Inc.
for falsely reporting he had a
driving under the influence
conviction.
In fact, the
complaint says, it "should
have been reported as reckless
driving and should not have
been reporting
twice."
On April
26, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge P. Kevin Castel
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
The parties
quickly announced that they
had reached a settlement, and
Judge Castel agreed to issue a
30 day order.
Later on April 26
the parties filed a two
paragraph notice of
settlement, with none of the
terms.
The case is
Vitale v. BeenVerified, Inc.,
21-cv-817 (Castel)
