SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 7 – The use of Paul de
Senneville's song "Ballade
pour Adeline" in Netflix'
series Narcos in Season 5,
Episode 10, has given rise to
a lawsuit.
On March 7, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Vernon S. Broderick held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Plaintiff Regent
Music Corporation had moved
for an anti-suit injunction
but it was denied as moot.
Judge Broderick
overed that by March 25 the
parties should write in to say
if they have reached a
stipulation under which the
defendant Delphine Productions
S.A. would renounce their
right to sue for copyright
infringement against Regent in
the US related to the song.
The case is
Regent Music Corporation v.
Delphine Productions S.A. et
al., 20-cv-4608
(Broderick)
