SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Sept 14 – Marquis Southwell is
on supervised release, and is
charged with violating it in
connection with a New Jersey
case.
He also has no
I.D., since he lost it in
Rikers
Island.
On September 14 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Denise L. Cote held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge Cote
inquired into Southwell's
employment status, and was
told that his lack of I.D. is
holding him back.
Judge Cote
expressed frustration, as she
has worked on a committee to
solve just this issue.
She asked
Probation to update her on
their progress with Southwell
by September 24, and another
VOSR conference for November
4.
The case is US v.
Southwell, 16-cr-205 (Cote)
