SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Dec 16 – Yan Barshay and
Mahesh Naitani have done
business together since 2000,
in pre-paid telephone cards
and other pursuits.
Now there is a
lawsuit, for $250,000.
On December 16
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Katherine Polk Failla
held his proceeding. Inner
City Press covered it.
Much of the
discussion was about using a
corporation as an alter ego to
avoid taxes, and
responsibilities.
Judge Failla
asked questions, including how
to pronounce the name of the
Medmeme company, then said
that an amended complaint is
to be filed by December 29.
The case is
Barshay v. Naithani,
20-cv-8579 (Failla)
