SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 4– AdLife owns the
copyright to a photo of Alpine
Lace Swiss cheese. Then Pat's
Marketplace used it in a
promotion without paying.
AdLife sued.
On January 4 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge Jed
S. Rakoff held a proceeding.
Inner City Press covered
it.
The
complaint has two photos as
exhibits. A quarter of a wheel
of cheese, with a leaf
underneath and slices in
front.
Unmistakably, the
same photo in Pat's offer of
Lower Sodium Alpine Lace for
$6.99. A default hearing was
scheduled for January 19,
working around one of Judge
Rakoff's teaching assignments.
The case is
Adlife Marketing &
Communications Co., Inc. v.
Merlin Printing, Inc, et al.,
20-cv-9231 (Rakoff)
