SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 9 –
Richard Castro sued AABC
Plumbing Inc. for not paying
overtime. That was in
2017.
On March 9, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Vernon S. Broderick held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The case is
finally going to trial, now
set for May 2. Judge Broderick
set a final pre trial
conference for April 25 and
asked if the parties wanted to
come into the courthouse for
it.
The answer was, If it can be
in the courtroom designated
for the trial. Even with an
eight-juror civil jury, it's
not yet clear if Judge
Broderick's smaller than
normal Courtroom 518 can work,
with three foot social
distancing.
Inner City
Press covered the US v. Ng Lap
Seng UN bribery case in that
courtroom and is eager to
return.
This case
is Castro et al v. AABC
Plumbing, Inc. et al.,
17-cv-1205 (Broderick)
