SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 3 – Margaret J. Burman
had her Citibank account
looted, but Citibank did not
want to pay.
On July 2, U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Edgardo Ramos
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Burman's lawyer
complained the Citibank had
refused to credit Mrs.
Burman's accounts for the
stolen funds and unauthorized
credit card charges as
required by law.
She wrote to Mark
Carawan, Citibank's Chief
Compliance Officer, without
satisfaction. So the case
proceeds.
It is Burman v.
Citibank, N.A., 21-cv-2232
