SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 9 – Bina Radosti sued
Lord & Taylor LLC for
failure to pay
overtime.
On March 9, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Vernon S. Broderick held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Notably,
plaintiff's counsel said he
was calling in by cell phone
from his home office with no
electrical power or Internet.
Judge Broderick
wished he gets them restored.
Assuming it does, he asked for
by March 18 a joint letter on
how many jurors, and if
anonymity should be required.
A pre-trial conference was set
for June 24 - by phone
. Even with an
eight-juror civil jury, it's
not yet clear if Judge
Broderick's smaller than
normal Courtroom 518 can work,
with three foot social
distancing.
Inner City Press
covered the US v. Ng Lap Seng
UN bribery case in that
courtroom and is eager to
return.
This case is
Radosti v. Hudson's Bay
Company et al., 18-cv-12266
(Broderick)
