SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 7 – Desiree Mattsson, a
photographer, sued Pat McGrath
Cosmetics LLC for stealing her
photograph.
On November 5 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Alison J. Nathan held a
proceeding, by phone.
Inner City Press
called in and covered it.
The
photograph at issue is of
fashion model Malin Kvande,
with two large flies on her
face. PMG used the photo on
its Instagram, tagging Desiree
but paying nothing.
Judge
Nathan said fact discovery
ends March 4, with a case
management conference on March
11.
Judge
Nathan's law clerk asked, Who
just called in?
Inner City Press,
not a participant, going on
mute.
But why is there
no call-in line for Judge
Nathan's US v. Maxwell
case, a request
Inner City Press filed on
October 29, still not docketed
a week later?
This case
is Mattsson v. Pat
McGrath Cosmetics LLC et al.,
21-cv-5187 (Nathan)
