SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 29 – Michael Del Villar
was arrested for drugs on West
126th Street, with a "squared
off backpack" cited.
On April
29, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Valerie E. Caproni
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
There are
argument about suppression of
evidence. Del Villar wants to
preclude the government from
presenting evidence of his
travel that had nothing to do
with the charge, and other
selectively recorded video
evidence.
The US
Attorney's Office says these
trips were part of an
established flow of narcotics.
It says the
surveillance video should be
allowed, even though other
parts of the day's videos were
destroyed by the building's
owner. Can you say,
spoliation?
The case is US v.
Del Villar et al., 20-cr-295
(Caproni)
