SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Dec 17 – Andre Sims says his
song "Endless Minds" was
ripped off for "Focus" by
Justin Anthony Barroso and
Gabriella Wilson. And he has
sued.
On
December 17 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Sims
hired a musicologist who
"determined Endless Minds as
the melody for "Focus."
His lawyer says
there have been some
settlement discussions. Judge
Woods pushed deadlines back
for there to be more
settlement discussions.
The case is
Sims v. Sony Music
Entertainment et al.,
20-cv-5322 (Woods)
