SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 6 – Brandon Bell was
charged in a narcotics
conspiracy in and around the
James Monroe Housings in the
Bronx and plead guilty on June
16.
On October 6 U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Denise L. Cote held a
sentencing proceeding. Inner
City Press covered it.
Bell's
lawyer spoke of there being
gun licensing in the South.
The prosecutors' sentencing
submission including a photo
of six firearms in a
suitcase.
Judge Cote
said she was disappointed in
the defendant having returned
to dealing drugs. She
sentenced him to the mandatory
minimum, 60 months.
