SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 25 – J. Deal
Partnership I sued Brookfield
Asset Management and others
for a scheme to depress the
Partnership's value in order
to make it
under.
On March
25, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Ronnie Abrams held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Much of the
issues involve jurisdiction,
how much business is done in
New York. Listing on the NYSE,
all agreed, is not enough.
The case is J.
Deal Partnership I, L.P. et al
v. Teekay Offshore Partners,
L.P. et al., 19-cv-6483
(Abrams)
