SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 19 – Julio Cesar
Martinez was sentenced in
2014, and was up for
sentencing again on May 19.
On May 19,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge P, Kevin Castel held the
sentencing proceeding. Inner
City Press covered it.
Judge
Castel asked how it could be
that no immigration detained
was filed in connection with
the 2014 judgment, and if one
will be now.
He sentenced
Martinez to 12 months and five
years of supervised release -
which might be rendered moot
by deportation.
The case is US v.
Martinez, 12-cr-926 (Castel)
