SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 17 – Kiran Vuppala is in a
wheelchair and was hindered
from accessing Screaming
Mimi's Vintage at 240 West
14th Street in Manhattan. A
lawsuit
ensued.
On
November 17, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
John P. Cronan held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge
Cronan was told that this one,
like many ADA cases, may
settle, with attorneys fees
being a sticking point.
Mediation was agreed on.
The case is
Vuppala v. Screaming Mimi's
Inc. et al., 21-cv-227
(Cronan)
