SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 3 – Edwin Rodriguez was
up for sentencing on
violations of supervised
release, after charges of
unlawful transport of
firearms.
On March 3, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Paul A. Engelmayer held a
change of plea and then a
sentencing proceeding. Inner
City Press covered it.
Rodriguez'
Federal Defender said he has
been in jail since age 17.
Judge Engelmayer recounted
various missed chances and
sentenced Rodriguez to eight
months.
He said he must
go to drug treatment after.
The case is US v.
Rodriguez, 14-cr-684
(Engelmayer)
