SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 17 – Charles Michael
Kee was sentenced to 480
months in 2000, for murder and
extortion and holding a woman
hostage and raping
her.
On
October 15 U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Denise L. Cote
held a re-sentencing under US
v. Davis 139 S. Ct. 2319
(2019). Inner City Press
covered it.
Kee had
submitted letters from his
grandchildren, and Judge Cote
said she believe he has
changed.
She urged him to
use the extra time out she was
giving him, seven years less
that the US' recommendation of
420 months.
