SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Feb 11 – A painters' union
sued A-Plus Painting to
confirm an arbitration award -
but then didn't serve the
complaint.
On February 11,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Jed S. Rakoff held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Judge
Rakoff was not amused by the
failure to serve. He gave the
union until the next date,
February 26, to serve the
summons and petition.
He said he will
permit no further
adjournments.
The case is
Trustees of the District
Council No. 9 Painting
Industry Insurance Fund et al
v. A Plus Painting Inc.,
21-cv-287 (Rakoff)
