SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 5 – A company called Nice
at Work has this year sued its
former employee Matt
Sternberg, and asked that he
be fired at his new
employer.
On January
5 U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
There was an argument about a
temporary restraining order,
going along normally, until
Steinberg's lawyer started
quoting from the motion and
said, "Yada yada yada, give me
a break."
Judge Woods
cut in, saying "This is not a
stand up routine... Your
approach is flip and not
persuasive. Please
proceed."
The lawyer,
not yet listed in the docket,
apologized and continued. A
limited restraining order was
in fact issued, albeit one to
maintain the status quo and
not share confidential
business information.
The case is Nice
People at Work, Inc. v.
Sternberg, 21-cv-19 (Woods)
