Lawsuit Against US Family Separation Policy Proceeds In SDNY Not Yet Mooted Out

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, March 6 –   A man who fled Honduras seeking protection from persecution has sued the US and its Department of Homeland Security under the FTCA and the Alien Tort Statute.

On March 5, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Paul A. Engelmayer held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

As the case, back to its complaint, is about the Trump Administration's family separation policy, one wonders if it will be mooted out by the change of Administration and presumbly of policies.

There are many amici in the case; what might they work on next?

The case is D.J.C.V. et al v. United States of America, 20-cv-5747 (Engelmayer)
