SDNY COURTHOUSE,
August 26 – Duwayne Terry sued
the New York State Parole
Board for applying the Sexual
Assault Reform Act, which
restricts sex offenders from
being near school
grounds.
On
August 26 U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Jesse M. Furman
held a proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Terry
complained of what he called a
conflict of interest by his
pro bono lawyer, whose second
amended complaint he wanted
stricken.
But it
seemed unnecessary, as the
previous complaint was
reinstated with the defendants
to now oppose it.
