SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 29 – Pal Berg is
being sued for a car crash on
Yong Sung Kim on West 30th
Street in Manhattan.
It was
removed to the U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York, where
Chief Magistrate Judge Gabriel
W. Gorenstein held a
proceeding on June 29. Inner
City Press covered it.
Service of process and
translation were big issues.
Counsel mistook
Swedish for Norwegian; Judge
Gorenstein ruled that "Berg
may move to dismiss for lack
of service or personal
jurisdiction without seeking
permission from the Court. "
The case is Kim
v. Berg et al., 20-cv-03344
(Gorenstein).
