SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 5 –
Frances Defranco slipped and
fell at the L.L. Bean store in
Yonkers, New York, and
sued.
The
Federal case filed in the U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
blames Defranco's injuries on
a "dangerously defective
rubber strip at or near the
rug in the shoe department."
Service has been effectuated
through the Secretary of State
of New York.
It has been
assigned in the SDNY's White
Plains courthouse to Judge
Philip M. Halpern, before whom
a conference is set for
January 20, 2022.
The case is
Defranco v. L.L. Bean, Inc.,
21-cv-7478 (Halpern)
