SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 9 -- Back on July 2014
Reinaldo Reyes for conspiracy
to commit robbery was
sentenced to 60 months and
$397,717 restitution to New
Joey Jewelry, Inc. by Judge
William H. Pauley III of the
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New
York.
Reyes' lawyer from Dechert LLP
asked that he serve his time
and be supervised in
Virginia.
On March
9, 2020 Reyes re-appeared in
the SDNY on alleged Violations
of Supervised Release
including not only cocaine and
marijuana but also failure to
pay restitution.
The
prosecutors and a fill-in
defense lawyer apparently went
first to Judge Pauley
courtroom and were referred
downstairs to the SDNY
Magistrates Court, where Inner
City Press was the only media.
There the US Attorney's office
agreed to release and not
remand, pending a May 8
proceeding before Judge
Pauley. The case is US v.
Reyes, 13-cr-357 (Pauley).
