SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 27 – Michael Del Villar
and Enrique Rosado are charged
in a narcotics conspiracy. The
DEA describes Villar with a
"squared-off backpack
considering with the a
backpack containing narcotics
bundled into brick-shaped
packages weight approximately
one kilogram." Hawk-eye.
On June 21, U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Valerie E. Caproni held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
A trial
had been set for July 14, but
was postponed until August 23,
if then. Judge Caproni said if
the Court has not confirmed it
can pick a jury beginning on
August 23, the Court will
adjourn the trial until the
fourth quarter.
On July 27, Judge
Caproni convened another
conference in the case. She
said she envisioned a two day
trial and wanted to avoid it
being broken up. The trial, it
appears, will occur in
September.
The case is USA
v. Del Villar et al.,
20-cr-295 (Caproni)
