SDNY COURTHOUSE,
July 29 – Michael Del Villar

On June 21, U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Valerie E. Caproni held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
A trial
had been set for July 14, but
was postponed until August 23,
if then. Judge Caproni said if
the Court has not confirmed it
can pick a jury beginning on
August 23, the Court will
adjourn the trial until the
fourth quarter.
On July 27, Judge
Caproni convened another
conference in the case. She
said she envisioned a two day
trial and wanted to avoid it
being broken up.
Now on July 29,
defendant Enrique appeared
before Judge Caproni and
changed his plea to guilty. He
said admitted to heroin in
Manhattan. Now his sentencing
is set for November 9 at 10
am.
The case is USA
v. Del Villar et al.,
20-cr-295 (Caproni)
