SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Jan 25 – Eliniza Luna's car
was struck by a Ryder truck on
January 16, 2020 near Jerome
Avenue and the Cross Bronx
Expressway. She
sued.
On January 25,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Ryder wants to
move for partial summary
judgment, saying that the 2005
Graves Amendment, 49 USC
30106, preempts New York
Vehicle and Traffic Law 388 on
vicarious liability.
The case is Luna
v. Gower et al., 20-cv-7358
(Woods)
