SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 2 –
Wendy Shine, for herself and
her minor child, sued the NYC
Housing Authority for mold and
moisture in their apartment,
citing the Americans with
Disabilities Act.
On June 2,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Ronnie Abrams held a
proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge
Abrams asked for more
specifics on how the
plaintiffs had notified NYCHA
of the disability claim -
otherwise it would not be a
Federal case.
The First Amended
Complaint, she said, has not
addressed the weaknesses
identified. The plaintiffs get
one more chance, up to June
25.
The case is Shine
et al v. New York City Housing
Authority, 19-cv-4347 (Abrams)
