SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 5 – The Diocese of Fall
River has been sued for
hundreds of sexual offenses -
and not only in Massachusetts.
On June 3,
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Vernon S. Broderick held
a proceeding. Inner City Press
went and covered it.
The
complaint said the "rampant
and ongoing acts of child
sexual abuse began with
Defendants took Jane Doe 1 and
Jane Doe 2 from their home in
Brooklyn, NY." The complaint
quotes Jimmy Breslin.
Judge
Broderick ordered that any
dispositive motion be filed by
June 21, and a request for
discovery by June 24.
The case is Doe 1
et al v. Congregation of the
Sacred Hearts of Jesus and
Mary et al., 21-cv-6865
(Broderick)
