SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 15 – Miguel Gonzalez
used to commute from
Connecticut to work at Mount
Sinai in New York.
On February 9,
2017 he fell down a set of
stairs in 33 East 93rd Street
and through a pane glass door.
He died, and his estate
sued.
On March
15, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Paul A. Engelmayer held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Among the
issues is whether while
replace three other pane glass
doors, defendants should have
been extended to change this
one.
There is also an
asserted Workers' Compensation
immunity defense.
The case is Colon
et al v. MSMC Residential
Realty LLC et al., 19-cv-1197
(Engelmayer)
