SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 19 – Gilberto Luciano
Vazquez is charged in a drug
transaction near Delancey
Street not in Manhattan but in
Newark, New
Jersey.
On August 4, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Edgardo Ramos held a change of
plea proceeding. Inner City
Press covered it.
Judge Ramos asked
the defendant what he had
done, and where. Newark, New
Jersey was the answer.
Judge Ramos
asked the Assistant US
Attorney to proffer as to
venue.
The reply was
that the drugs were intended
for the SDNY. Sentencing will
be in September.
The case is US v.
Vazquez, 19-cr-663 (Ramos)
