SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 28 – Steven Sylvester was
charged for selling
crack.
On June
23, 2022 U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Vernon S.
Broderick held an in-person
change of plea proceeding.
Inner City Press went and
covered it.
Sylvester
pled to a less included
offense, and mentioned seven
zips of crack. The agreed
guideline is essentially seven
years. Seven years for seven
zips.
The defense
lawyer asked for expedited
sentencing in 60 days, to get
his client out of the MDC.
Judge Broderick
agreed, setting sentencing for
August 22. The case is
US v. Sylvester, 21-cr-358
(Broderick)
