SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Nov 14 – Betty Dupere sued
Johnson & Johnson for harm
caused by J&J's Ethicon
Gynecare TVT Pelvic Mesh
Product.
On November 12, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Denise L. Cote held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
The
defective medical device was
implanted at Mount Sinai
Medical Center in
Manhattan. The pelvic
mesh product is the subject to
multi-district litigation and
what defense counsel called a
matrix for settlement.
But
Dupere's lawyer said she is an
individual plaintiff and wants
to go forward on that basis.
SDNY Magistrate Judge
Katharine H. Parker was
mentioned.
The next date is
December 3.
The case is
Dupere v. Ethicon, Inc. et
al., 21-cv-2605 (Cote)
