SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Dec 6 – Ray Vela is accused of
bank fraud: altering checks.
Now his Federal Defenders have
a conflict of
interest.
On December 4
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New
York Judge Lewis J.
Liman held a proceeding. Inner
City Press covered it.
The
proposal was to switch out the
Federal Defenders for a CJA
counsel, who hours later is
still not listed in the
docket.
But she was
switched as, as she represents
Vela in another case in the
SDNY.
This case is US
v. Vela, 20-cr-607 (Liman)
