Feb 3 – Queens NY resident
Shi-May Chan owed a debt to
Goldman Sachs, but it was
discharged in bankrupcy. Then
Goldman Sachs accessed her
credit file from Trans Union.
She sued.
On
February 3, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
Goldman Sachs is
demanding compelled
arbitration. But the
plaintiff's lawyer says there
is no longer a relationship
requiring arbitration.
Discovery was
also not stayed, but will
apparently be limited: a
single plaintiff's deposition.
