SDNY COURTHOUSE,
May 17 – Colette Smith sued
MetroPlus Health Plan for
racial and disability
discrimination, after she got
lung cancer, became the only
disabled African American
manager assigned to report to
Teresa Taylor - and had
adverse action taken.
On July 8,
2022 U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Alvin K.
Hellerstein held a proceeding.
Inner City Press covered it.

Hellerstein ordered for
discovery to end by September
5, and set a status conference
for September 16 at 10 am.
The case is Smith
v. MetroPlus Health Plan et
al., 20-cv-10570 (Hellerstein)
