SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 23 – Tyrone Oldyn has
been under supervised release
but traveled to South Carolina
without getting his probation
officer's permission.
On March
23, U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Judge Jed S. Rakoff,
still overseeing the Eaze jury
trial, held a VOSR sentencing.
Inner City Press covered
it.
The
probation officer said during
a home visit, it reeked of
marijuana and she wasn't sure
she could supervise him there.
Judge Rakoff said
some detention would be
necessary, arriving at three
months rather than the US
recommended five months. But
it will not start until
September 14.
The case is US v.
Oldyn, 10-cr-94 (Rakoff)
